Shield for Raspberry Pi Pico with a barcode reader, created by SB Components. The manufacturer of the overlay has placed a DE2120 barcode scanner on the board, which can read 1D and 2D codes , as well as QR codes. In addition to the scanner, the module also has a 1.14 "LCD display , a buzzer and a microUSB port. The LCD display is based on the ST7789 controller. The built-in screen can display the scanned barcode or any other image. The scan is performed by pressing the button on the back. After pressing it, the LED illuminating the scanned code will also be powered.

Raspberry Pi Pico is a small module equipped with the proprietary Raspberry Pi RP2040 microcontroller, created in the UK. The RP2040 microcontroller is based on a dual-core ARM Cortex M0 + clocked at 133 MHz . Pico has 264 KB of SRAM and 2 MB of Flash memory. The outputs of the board are 26 GPIO pins working with a voltage of 3.3 V. The module can be programmed in C / C ++ and MicroPython . The Raspberry Pi Pico is equipped with a microUSB connector , through which it can be powered and programmed at the same time.
