Product description: LSM6DS3TR-C + LIS3MDL 9DOF IMU - accelerometer, gyroscope and I2C magnetometer - Adafruit 5543

The sensor is based on the ST LSM6DS3TR-C system, a popular 6-DoF IMU accelerometer with a gyroscope. It allows you to measure acceleration (3-axis accelerometer) and spatial orientation (3-axis gyroscope). There is also a LIS3MDL 3-axis magnetometer on the board, which detects where the strongest magnetic force is coming from, usually used to detect magnetic north. The sensor can be supplied with the voltage of 3 V or 5 V , the same values assume the values of logical voltage. Adafruit 5543 uses I2C communication. It was equipped with the STEMMA QT / Qwiic connector, which makes prototyping much easier.

The product is compatible with Arduino. The manufacturer provides a user manual and a library for Arduino .

  • VIN : Power pin (the board has a built-in voltage regulator, it should be powered with the same voltage as the logic level of the microcontroller used)
  • 3Vo : 3.3 V output from the voltage regulator (load capacity up to 100 mA)
  • GND : Ground (common for power and logic)
  • SCL : The clock line of the I2C bus
  • SDA : Data line of the I2C bus
  • STEMMA QT : Connectors that allow the sensor to be connected to development boards with STEMMA QT connectors
  • ADM : I2C address jumper of the magnetometer
  • AGAD : I2C address jumper of the accelerometer
  • INT1 : Primary interrupt pin (LSM6DS3TR-C chip)
