LACK set - plexiglass for building a chamber from the IKEA LACK table

A set of 5 sheets of transparent extruded Plexiglas intended for building a chamber for a 3D printer. The plates are 3 mm thick and are factory covered with a transparent film to protect them from scratches during transport or storage.

Plexiglas / acrylic glass is a PMMA material - a highly transparent thermoplastic obtained by polymerization of methyl methacrylate. Due to its transparency, aesthetics and scratch resistance it can be a substitute for glass.

LACK set of Plexiglas plates is designed to make your own enclosure for 3D printers. It will fit for example printers:

• Ender 3 Pro / V2
• Prusa MK3 / MK3S / MK3S+ / Mini+

Components needed for construction:

• 1, 2 or 3 x LACK table from IKEA
• LACK kit - plexiglass to build a chamber from the IKEA LACK table
• Mounting screws:
  • 6×20 mm (12 x 3/4″)
  • 6×50 mm (12 x 2″)
• Printed assembly parts e.g:
  • Prusa i3 MK3 - original parts - Printable parts

Assembling the case by yourself is very easy. Just follow the steps below step by step:

1. Print out the parts and buy the necessary materials.
2. Install accessories of your choice (lights, smoke detector, etc. - if you need them)
3. Attach the legs to the tops and measure the places where the plexiglass will be, taking into account the wires and other accessories.
4. Drill holes in the Plexiglas.
5. Attach the Plexiglas to the legs.
6. Run the wires from the printer to the power supply (if the power supply is located outside the enclosure, which is recommended).
