Description

Product description: BMP388 - precision pressure and altitude sensor - I2C / SPI - Waveshare 16115

The module is based on a precise BMP388 pressure sensor from Bosch, allowing measurement of relative height. It is used in IoT projects, monitoring environmental parameters, drones and navigation. It has a wide measurement range from 300 hPa to 1250 hPa . The relative pressure accuracy is up to ±0.08 hPa in the range from 900 hPa to 1100 hPa, at temperatures from 25°C to 40°C. Additionally, the sensor allows you to measure the ambient temperature with an accuracy of ±0.5°C. This allows compensation for the characteristics of the barometric sensor. Communication takes place via the I2C or SPI interface. Supply voltages range from 3.3 V to 5 V, which facilitates communication with microcontrollers such as Arduino .

BMP388 - precision pressure and altitude sensor - I2C / SPI - Waveshare 16115.

The product is compatible with Arduino and Raspberry Pi !

The manufacturer provides sample code to help you start working with the module.

Communication takes place via the I2C or SPI interface.

Description of the sensor pins

The module enables communication via the I2C or SPI interface. For this purpose, you can use the cable included in the kit, plugged into the JST connector, or the soldering connectors prepared on the board. It has the following pins:

  • VCC - power supply of the module with 3.3 V / 5 V
  • GND - common ground of the system
  • SDA - data line of the I2C interface
  • SCL - clock line of the I2C interface
  • INT - interrupt output from the BMP388 chip
