Sensor length of 112 mm, increases its resistance, when bending the metal pads to the outside (the text inside the arc). Leads have a popular pitch of 2.54 mm (0.1") so that the sensor can be mounted onthe breadboard or connected viawires.

Sensors of this type are used in interactive gloves designed to control robots, for example, in theNintendo Power Glove.
