Description

Description: DFRobot Motor Shield L298P v1.3 - dual channel motor controller - cover for Arduino 35V/2A.

It is a cartridge forArduinoto control two 35 V / 2 A DC motors. The system allows you to adjust the direction and speed. It uses only four Arduino outputs and can be powered from both the base plate and external source.

Power supply

The module can be powered in two ways: VIN from Arduino or from a separate source connected to the PWRIN screw connector. In the first case, the voltage range depends on the Arduino base module, usually from 7 V to 12 V. Therefore it is recommended to connect an external source. In this mode you can use the whole available range from 4.8 V to 35 V. Power supply configurations allow two PWRIN jumpers - VIN, if inserted, draws power from Arduino VIN.

Motor Controller Overlay Leads

The overlay operates on the basis of a two-channel L298 motor controller. This means that the user has the possibility to connect two motors, with a maximum current consumption of 2 A for each of them. Shield uses four Arduino outputs, can work in two PWM and PLL modes. Mode selection is enabled by jumpers on top of the board.
