New for 2021 are the Elvedes MAX bearings.
A MAX bearing does not have a cage with balls, but is completely filled with balls.
The load-bearing capacity is significantly improved (+40%) by increasing the support base (more balls = more support).
For applications in suspension rear forks, for example, MAX bearings are a must.
These bearings never rotate completely, but they are subjected to heavy vertical loads.
A MAX bearing is perfect for that.
MAX bearings can of course also be used at other points in a bicycle, where the load is high.
