Description
ASA Filament is a thermoplastic plastic in the form of fiber, usedfor 3D printing by FFF. The material iswound on a spool and vacuum packed with moisture absorber. Spool contains 1 kg of filament net. Devil Design ASA can be used in all FFF printers which are not protected against using material from external supplier and "open source" constructions. ASA is a material with increased (in relation to ABS) resistance to external factors, easily undergoes mechanical processing such as grinding or drilling. ASA is a perfect substitute for typical ABS copolymer.
In our offer of filaments you will also find other materials and colors.
Devil Design ASA 1,75 mm 1 kg - Race Green.
- During printing, the smell of melted plastic is noticeable
- More durable material than PLA
- Easy to grind, you can easily drill holes in it
- It is inexpensive and available in many color variants
- Increased resistance to UV radiation
- Increased resistance to weathering
- Good chemical and thermal resistance
ASA Filament produced by Devil Design company has the centre of gravity equal to 1,07 g/cm³ (ASTM D792 method). The softening point of the thermoplastic material, in turn, tested using the ASTM D1525 method, is 96℃. The manufacturer specified a Rockwell R hardness of 107.
ASA filaments have a maximum tensile strength at break of no more than 20%. And their tensile strength, tested using the ASTM D638 method, is as high as 500 kg/cm². After cooling down, the printout can be easily detached from the table, without the risk of damage.
Additional information about the Devil Design ASA feltThe described thermoplastic material is soluble in acetone. 3D printing with the use of ASA felt is relatively simple, therefore, they are willingly chosen by both beginners and experienced users of 3D printers.
Due to their properties, ASA filaments are characterized by universal application. High accuracy of models, combined with a slight gloss make them ideal for printing decorative elements. Moreover, ASA material is used for prototyping, printing housings and various accessories.
