How to charge Li-Pol batteries correctly?

Li-Pol batteries are not resistant to discharge or overcharge. It is therefore worth knowing how to properly charge Li-Pol batteries. During their use the voltage must not drop below 2.4 V and rise above 4.2 V per cell. Exceeding these values causes significant deterioration of properties and reduction of battery lifetime. Additional complication is low resistance to high temperatures (overheating) during charging, therefore it is recommended to use specialized and dedicated chargers.

Used batteries should be returned to a recycling centre or at a shop when buying new ones. Under no circumstances should they be opened or disposed of with mixed waste. Damaged batteries, in which electrolyte has leaked, should not be used because of their harmful effects on health.
