The snow leopard is a predatory cat that lives in the higher, rocky mountains of Central Asia. There it feeds mainly on sheep, ibex and goats. The thick fur protects it from the freezing cold and is so beautiful that many animals fall victim to poachers. This is why the snow leopard is now an endangered species. A special feature is its tail, which is almost as long as its body, like the snow leopard from Schleich® Wild Life.
