Description

Product description: SparkFun Qwiic 12 Bit ADC ADS1015 - ADC 12-bit 4-channel converter - I2C - SparkFun DEV-15334

The module is equipped with the ADS1015 analog-to-digital converter from SparkFun . SparkFun Qwiic 12 Bit ADC ADS1015 has up to 4 input channels , which can be used as unbalanced inputs or in pairs for differential inputs. In addition, the module has a programmable amplifier , which makes it very sensitive to even the smallest voltage changes.

Kit contents
  • SparkFun Qwiic 12 Bit ADC ADS1015 - ADC 12-bit 4-channel converter - I2C - SparkFun DEV-15334 - 1 piece

ADC 12-bit 4-channel converter - equipped with screw terminals for connecting the wires.

The product is compatible with Arduino The manufacturer has prepared a detailed user guide . You will find there, among other things, a description of the system, the arrangement of pins and a sample program code.

4-output converter - ADC converter from SparkFun.

A / C converter operating principle

Transducers and converters are tools that convert one physical quantity into another. The task of the A / C converter is to convert an analog signal into a digital signal, and thus it is possible to connect digital modules - e.g. Arduino or Raspberry Pi with analog devices and sensors.

Connection of the transducer and description of the leads

The leads are solder pads and screw connectors, allowing for soldering goldpin connectors, 2.54 mm pitch (not included). Thanks to them, it is possible to connect the system with the breadboard or the main module (eg Arduino ) using wires . The board also includes a Qwiic connector, which could be a soldering-free alternative that reduces the number of wires.

  • GND - the ground of the system
  • VCC - power pin
  • SCL - clock line of the I2C bus
  • SDA - data line of the I2C bus
  • ALRT - an alarm signal generated when the analog value exceeds the set threshold
  • A0, A1, A2, A3 - analog inputs
