Are you wondering what the RFID abbreviation means? The name comes from the English language and its extension is Radio Frequency Identification. The RFID system is a modern technology that uses radio waves to wirelessly identify any object. It is a standard for short-range and high-frequency radio communication - it allows for wireless data exchange at a distance of up to about 20 centimeters. An example of the use of RFID can be found in every field of business - including logistics, trade and distribution, construction and the IT industry.
