Description

Product description: Teensy 4.1 ARM Cortex M7 with connectors - Arduino compatible - SparkFun DEV-16996

SparkFun's small Teensy 4.1 board features a 600 MHz dual-core ARM Cortex-M7 processor with NXP iMXRT1062 chip, four times more Flash memory than the Teensy 4.0 version, and two new slots for adding more memory. The Teensy 4.1 has the same size and shape as the 3.6 version and provides more I/O capabilities, including an Ethernet PHY, microSD card slot and USB host port. This version has a goldpin connector soldered in. The Teensy 4.1 draws up to 100 mA of current and provides support for dynamic clock scaling. This means that the board has been designed in such a way that changes in clock speed do not significantly affect the data transfer rate as found in other boards. The module also provides a power down function by connecting a button to the on/off pin. The 3.3V power supply can be completely turned off by holding the button down for five seconds, and then turned back on with a short press of the button. The Teensy 4.1 has a built-in RTC that works by connecting a lozenge battery to the VBAT pin.
