Description

Converter, type step-down (buck), used to power the operating systems with voltages of 5.0 V. The advantage of this system is the wide input voltage range from 5.3 V to 36 V. Module D24V25F5 allows current consumption up to 2.5 A.

Included is the converter and connectors goldpin for self-soldering.

Leads Pin Description VIN Input voltage. GND The potential mass. VOUT Output voltage. ENABLE Indicating low voltage below 1 V) causes a transition of the system into the low power state (approx. 10μA). Pin is pulled up to the supply voltage through a resistor 270kΩ, which, by default, makes the system attached. PG Pin "Power Good", open-drain type. Goes into a low state when the output voltage falls below 85 % of nominal value. If this pin will be used, you must connect a pulled-up resistor, for example, 10 kΩ.

Connectors are respectively signed on the board. Lead pitch is 2.54 mm (popular goldpin connectors). The module can be mounted onthe breadboard, connect withwiresor solder in a special printed circuit board.

Efficiency of the system

Efficiency is defined as the ratio of output power to input power (Power out)/(Power in). This is a very important parameter for working with portablesourcesof energy (batteries and accumulators) where working time on one cycle of charging, matters. The efficiency of the system pulse is about 85 % - 95 %.
