Description
Charging regulator VICTRON BlueSolar MPPT 100/20 (12/24 / 48V - 20A).
This regulator has an MPPT controller I ultrafast improving energy collection.
Thus it controls the state of battery charge and increases daily the level of load shedding if necessary.
Features:
Ultra Fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT).
Especially under cloudy skies, when light intensity changes continuously, an ultrafast MPPT controller improves light and energy harvesting by up to 30% compared to PWM charge controllers, and up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers.
Charging output.
The battery can be prevented from over-discharging by connecting all loads to the charging output.
This output will disconnect the load when the battery has been discharged, when it reaches a preset voltage.
You can also choose to set an intelligent battery management algorithm:

The load output is short-circuit proof.
Some loads (especially inverters) can be connected directly to the battery, and the inverter remote control to the load output.
A special interface cable may be required.

When a solar charge controller is not able to recharge the battery to full capacity in a day, what happens is that the battery cycles continuously between ´´partially charged´´ and ´´end of discharge´´ states.
This mode of operation (without periodic full recharge) will destroy a lead-acid battery in weeks or months.
The BatteryLife algorithm will monitor the state of charge of the battery and, if necessary, increase the charge disconnection level day by day (i.e, disconnect the load earlier) until the collected solar energy is sufficient to recharge the battery to nearly 100%.
From that point on, the load disconnection level will be modulated so that a near 100% recharge is achieved about once a week.
