- Place pad on floor with plastic side facing down, quilted side facing up
- Familiarize your pet by gently placing him/her on pad several times to sniff
- Reward your pet when he/she successfully relieves himself/herself on pad. If accident occurs elsewhere, bring him/her to the pad to reinforce correct use.
- Gradually move pad closer to the door to teach pets to go outside.
