Rotary encoder manufactured by Adafruit company. Equipped with SAMD09 chip, uses I2C communication interface. It has STEMMA QT / Qwiic connectors and leads in form of solder fields. Additionally, the module is equipped with NeoPixel LEDs, configurable, which can light up in any color.
One of the advantages of the encoder is the fact that the device does not need any additional memory, reference point or continuous counting function to work properly. The position can be read at any time. It is also characterized by increased resistance to interference and reliability of transmitted data. It is widely used in industrial systems, designed to control the status of individual devices and many others.
Product is compatible with Arduino and Raspberry Pi!

NeoPixel rotary encoder has STEMMA QT / Qwiic connector, which allows fast and easy connection of the module to the control board (e.g. Arduino or Rapberry Pi). Alternatively, it has also solder fields. You should solder to them goldpin strips included in the set with a raster of 2.54 mm and connect according to the relationship below:
- VIN - red wire - 5V power pin to connect to Arduino
- GND - black wire - ground
- SCL - yellow wire - I2C interface clock line
- SDA - blue wire - I2C data line
The kit does not include the soldered encoder knob, it can be purchased separately from our shop
