Description: PCF8591 - A/D and D/A converter, 8-bit I2C v2

Module with 4-channel converter analog-digital with 8-bit precision, it also has one output of the digital-analog converter. It works with voltage from 2.5 V to 6.0 V, it communicates via I2C interface. On board are also: pulling up resistors, bus lines of 10 kΩ and potentiometer, photoresistor and the thermistorconnected to input channels using configurable jumpers.

Connection

Pins are the soldered, cornergoldpin connectors with the pitch of 2.54 mm. Thanks to them, possible is the the connection of the board with the main module (e.g. Raspberry Pi orArduino) viawires. The board has additional elements: photoresistor, thermistor, and potentiometer, which are connected to the input pins via jumpers. If the devices are not used, these jumpers must be removed.

 

 

Pin Description AOUT The output of the converter D/A. AIN0 Input 0 of the converter A/D. AIN1 Input 1 of the sensorA/D. AIN2 The input 3 of the converterA/D. AIN3 Input 4 of the converterA/D. SCL The clock line of the I2C interface, pulled up by the resistor of 10 kΩto VCC. SDA Data line of I2C interface, pulled up by the resistor of 10 kΩto VCC. GND The ground of the system. P4 The jumper that connects the thermistor with input AIN1. P5 Jumper connecting the photoresistor with input AIN0. P6 A jumper that connects the potentiometer with the input AIN3.
