Description
Centaur battery chargers are simple, rugged and economical, yet they make no compromises to our high quality standards and deliver the best results that today´s technology allows.
The epoxy-coated aluminum enclosures and stainless steel fasteners withstand the harshest environments:
heat, humidity and salt spray.
The electronic circuits are protected from oxidation by means of an acrylic varnish.
Temperature sensors ensure that all components operate within specified limits, if necessary by automatic derating of the output power during extreme environmental conditions.
Features:
90 to 265 volt universal input.
Centaur chargers accept a very wide supply voltage range, from 90 to 265 volts and from 45 to 65 Hertz, without the need for any adjustment.
They are thus compatible with all current voltages and frequencies, and can operate in unstable power networks.
3 full-power outputs.
Three isolated outputs allow the simultaneous charging of 3 sets of batteries.
Each output can supply the rated charging power.
3-stage charging with temperature compensation.
The Centaur charges at full power until the output current reaches 70% of rated power, then maintains a constant absorption voltage for 4 hours.
The charger then switches to float mode.
An internal temperature sensor compensates the charging voltage of - 2 mV per °C per element.
Charge voltage selector.
An internal switch allows easy selection of voltages adapted to the main battery types (lead-acid, gel, AGM).
Charging current indicator.
An ammeter on the front panel allows to know at any time the performance of the charger towards the batteries.
