Description
GPS moduleforM5Stackseries of development modules. Product containing advanced GNSS modules:NEO-M8N,u-blox M8andactive antenna. Application of NEO-M8 series guarantees hightracking sensitivityand maximum reduction of time needed for effective data acquisition. The NEO-M8N system integrates a 72-channel GNSS u-blox M8 engine that supports a wide range of GNSS measurement systems. These include Beidou, Galileo, GLONASS, GPS, QZSS. With its help, data can be received from3 GNSS systems simultaneously. The presented model allows to create an intelligent logistic tracking system based on GPS and car positioning without the presence of the driver.
UART protocol in the GPS moduleIn order to communicate with the M5Stack main module, the GPS module usesthe UART communication protocol, which is physically connected viaUART2(GPIO16, GPIO17). The user can change the transmission speed, depending on individual needs. The manufacturer provides appropriateinstructionsfor this purpose. Default transmission speed is9600 bps.
